Artist Statement
Beyond the surface: The deep connection between body and mind.
In my art I search for the invisible, for the hidden vibrations that really make up life. Every living being is more than just a physical shell; it carries a deep, often overlooked soul within it that determines our true essence. With my works I want to invite the viewer to look beyond the superficial and grasp the emotional depth and hidden energies that make life truly worth living.
I am convinced that our society is often too focused on the external, neglecting the essential inner processes. In a world that is increasingly lost in superficialities, I try to use my art to draw attention to the essential. By making the soul and inner vitality of a being visible, I want to create a space in which emotional depth and genuine understanding are celebrated. My works are a call not to be blinded by externals, but to engage with the deeper layers of being.
I am committed to a society in which emotional depth is recognized as a valuable virtue and in which we learn to appreciate what is essential - a world in which we recognize and respect the soul in everything that surrounds us. With my art, I hope to contribute to us all developing a greater awareness of what really matters.
With my art I bring the hidden soul of living beings into a visible appearance to invite the viewer to go beyond the surface and capture the deep emotions and vibrations. I want to change perception and create a world with more emotional depth and understanding of the essential.

Art as a reflective tool for inner work
Angela Höchtl, born in 1982 in Krems an der Donau, Austria, led a fulfilling family life with her husband and three sons until 2015. In addition to her role as a mother, she worked in the healthcare sector. Her life was characterized by harmony and stability until she was confronted with challenging events that changed her view of the world. Due to an accident and illness, Angela almost lost one of her sons twice within just three years. These experiences led to a deep confrontation with life and heightened her awareness of the preciousness of time and interpersonal relationships.
Through this challenge, Angela was able to awaken a unique power within herself and now conveys this in her paintings with the unique perspectives of her life. Her works offer a place of retreat and serve as a reflective tool for inner work. By applying colors in layers, expressive works are created that communicate her emotional inner worlds. Her art is not only an expression of personal experiences, but also a reflection on being and the complexity of human emotions.
Angela's works have already received great recognition and have been sold to national and international art collectors. Her goal is to further institutionalize her art and make it visible through various projects on a national and international level. Angela Höchtl is not only an artist, but also an ambassador for the understanding of human emotions and the search for inner peace. Her art remains a tool for healing and transformation, both for herself and for her viewers.
